Hind Leg

Each book describes how scientists classify living things and then explains how the order (group of animals) featured in the book fits into the larger picture. Most books include instructions for observing animals in their environment and a section about conservation. Hop to it! Grasshoppers, crickets, and katydids are terrific little jumpers. How do they do it? By using the special hind legs that are unique to the orthopteran order.
